General informationEdit

Tools are items that are equipped in the "Shovel" slot. The player can only equip one tool at a time.
Their purpose is to allow the player to dig through different kinds of walls.
All characters - excluding Monk, Dove, and Dorian - always start with the Normal Shovel.

Breaks upon taking damage. Can be used to dig a shop wall without being gigantic but will shatter in the process.

Obsidian:

Multiplier 1 = Wall dirt

Multiplier 3 = Wall dirtWall stoneWall stone hotWall stone coldWall catacomb + while gigantic: TilesPortal
Ability to dig is tied with the Groove Chain.

Blood: Wall dirtWall stoneWall stone hotWall stone coldWall catacombTilesPortal Digging any tile except dirt makes the player dig up walls in Π-shaped area (see figure), centred on the player, and consumes 0.5 health.

Digging a shop wall while gigantic will not consume health.

Currently only accessible with Dove, the Scroll of Need or from an Urn.

Picking up a shovel with a higher grade overwrites the previous one (it does not drop); otherwise it drops normaly.
Grades for shovels are:
1st grade - Normal Shovel, Glass Shard;
2nd grade - Titanium, Glass, Obsidian, Blood Shovels;
3rd grade - Crystal Shovel.

Wall dirt Makeshift tool which appears when the Glass Shovel breaks. It can be found on the tile where the player was hit.

Ability to dig tiles like strongest shovels, but tougher walls require multiple hits to dig up.
1 hit = Wall dirt
2 hits = Wall stoneWall stone hotWall stone cold
3 hits = Wall catacomb
4 hits + while gigantic = TilesPortal

Picking up the Pickaxe drops the current equipped shovel.

If a wall is already cracked, such as one leading to a Health Shop (3 hits), the player will still need to dig the wall a standard number of times (3 hits).
